Norwell is a quiet community with a few hidden gems. You’ll find a contemporary American restaurant named Cheever Tavern in the historic Norwell Center. The tavern is named after a Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose funeral was held in the church across the street with John Updike providing the eulogy. Pair it with an Irish coffee or a Bellini to start your weekend off right. Trattoria San Pietro is an excellent option for an upscale and casual Italian restaurant. They have homemade pasta stuffed with prosciutto, spinach, and cheese then covered with a creamy tomato sauce. The lobster ravioli is a local favorite.
