Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Norwell is a quiet community with a few hidden gems. You’ll find a contemporary American restaurant named Cheever Tavern in the historic Norwell Center. The tavern is named after a Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose funeral was held in the church across the street with John Updike providing the eulogy. They have locally sourced handmade food in a seasonally inspired menu. The winter brunch includes options like a Candy Cane Belgian Waffle and warm banana bread. Pair it with an Irish coffee or a Bellini to start your weekend off right. Trattoria San Pietro is an excellent option for an upscale and casual Italian restaurant. They pride themselves on authentic Italian cuisine and offer a full bar and spacious dining experience. They have homemade pasta stuffed with prosciutto, spinach, and cheese then covered with a creamy tomato sauce. The lobster ravioli is a local favorite.

The Fours restaurant and sports bar is a casual American restaurant with various comfort pub food options and fun. You can enjoy the game from any table in the restaurant and have a perfect view of a flat-screen TV.  Another place with an energetic atmosphere is The Tinker’s Son. It’s a snug, homey Irish tavern with bar bites, live entertainment, outdoor seating, and a weekend brunch. They have all the Irish favorites such as Shepherd's Pie, lamb stew, and beer-battered fish and chips.
