Visit The Blue Oar in Downtown Cohasset for a casual, coastal vibe with an excellent bar menu. The Blue Oar features a laid-back ambiance with an elevated food menu — try the Black and Blue Steak Bites or a classic Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. Salty Days Fish Co. is another spot on its way to Cohasset. Opening soon, Salty Days offers a full-fledged fish market and a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. With a location in Hingham Square, residents of Cohasset are excited for the new location and delicious food to come!
 

Things to Do 

Cohasset has many unique activities to consider with community and adventure in mind. The South Shore Art Center has drawing, painting, and cartoon classes for children. For older students and teens, they have pottery, sculpture, and portfolio art classes.

The nature reserve and forest, Whitney and Thayer Woods, have fresh springs and stones left behind from glacial melting. You will find a waterfall and see views of the Boston skyline while hiking through their 100 miles of trails. Across the street at Weir River Farm, children can interact with chickens, sheep, and horses.

At the Cohasset Family Fun Day, live music, games, and scavenger hunts bring the town to life with family-friendly activities. During the holiday season, residents look forward to the annual Cohasset Village Christmas Stroll. Santa arrives in the firetruck and the town lights up with frozen Disney characters, fire pits complete with s'mores, and live strolling carolers. The Cohasset Triathlon is a sprint race attracting runners and athletes from all over New England.

To enjoy the sun, sand, and sea, the private and expansive shoreline at Cohasset Sandy Beach is a local favorite. The Cohasset community association maintains the shoreline, so residents always have a pristine beach to enjoy. You can also soak in the sun and views at the Aaron River Reservoir. It's mostly suited for relaxation and enjoying the sights, but you may also see a few people kayaking or boating.
